Hello Sixth Grade Parents....
Thank you for all of your support through emails, kind words, donations to the classes, reiterating to the student the purpose for school and obtaining a wonderful and effective education.
This page is designed to give parents any updates about the Sixth Grade Agenda. It does not replace the Clinton Christian School website.
- FIVE MORE DAYS!! Where does the time go? Please encourage your child to cross the finish line with honors, great attendance in this last. Homework and classwork completion, terrific study habits, wonderful attitudes towards school, super character, great teamwork, and healthy communication will escort your child to the FINISH LINE.
- Parents, please be reminded that the sixth graders will have at least two more quizzes and two more tests in Reading, English, and History. The Final Tests will start late next week and the last week of school. They will cover comprehension skills (Reading); Chapter 12 (History); and Labeling of sentences-subject, verb, direct objects, indirect objects, prepositional phrases, adjectives, and adverbs (English).( April 30th)
- Unfortunately, some students are still not completing homework during these final days. There is no room to make-up homework. Please ask your child about their study habits and homework completion so that he/she can receive the highest grade possible.
- Please refer to the "Ways to Improve Grades" list below.
- Please make sure that your child has pens, pencils, folders, and looseleaf for the last three weeks of school.
- Summer Camp is not like school so you do not have to worry that your child will receive the same thing. It really is a different program for your child. Please take the time to read through the packet that was sent home, but I will give you some highlights. *The fee for summer camp is all inclusive and covers: before & after care, breakfast, chapels, arts & crafts, weekly field trips, swimming/water parks, theme day activities, daily enrichment activities,, specialized camps, and our PERFORMING ARTS & NEWLY EXPANDED ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT & PROGRAMS. *The other plus - you only pay for the weeks your child attends and there is not a minimum of weeks you are required to attend.*The one time registration fee is $70 for the first child, but if you submit the application with the 1st week's tuition payment you receive $40 off the tuition and the registration fee is only $30. If you should need additional applications for summer camp please email me.
- Parents, please remember that if the words "See Me" are written on a test or quiz, he/she is suppose to see the teacher to gain understanding. The student has a better chance of performing better on the next quiz or test if questions are asked.
- Ways Students can their improve grades:
- *****More review of class lessons
- *****More study time during extended time with your peers
- *****More reading of books that you LOVE
- *****More research(Google) of your topics that you are learning in school
- *****Ask the teacher during the breaks or Study Hall for clarity.

- *****Write exactly what you see on the board. (Notes, definitions, diagrams, etc.)
- Organize your folders for each subject/Clean your bookbag weekly.

Any student who is not adhering to the procedures set in place by the teacher and school will receive notifications to their parents and have points deducted from their grade. 12.15.11
- Please remind the gentlemen that ties must be worn on Tuesdays for Chapel Days so that a referral does not have to be issued. 12.15.11
- Some students need to replenish their school supplies over the Christmas Break so that they are well prepared for school. Some students have been walking around with one red pen and/or one blue or black pen. 12.15.11 and 1.5.12
- Please make sure that your child has a folder and spiral notebook for each subject.
- Tutoring is available for any subject. It is one-on-one and on a "pay as you go" schedule. Please inquire with the teacher of the subject.
